Season of Mist is seeking a full-time in-house Publicist.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious, and well-connected.   We want a determined promotions person with real music business experience in public relations.

Familiarity with Season of Mist, our artists’ music, and their fan base, as well as a passion for metal / heavy rock and its sub-genres, is essential. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, stay organized, and prioritize a heavy workload independently in a busy work environment is a must. Candidate should have experience with existing and emerging media outlets as well as digital platforms relevant to the culture surrounding the label. Existing relationships in this realm of music media are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing press and promotion plans
  • Write artist bios, press releases, and other press materials
  • Maintaining existing label promotion lists
  • Pitching for coverage across print, online, new media and more for in-house campaigns
  • Create press reports and sharing them internally and externally
  • Coordinate press opportunities around album launches, tours and throughout campaigns.
  • Coordinate in-person press opportunities at select artist appearances (tour/festival and otherwise)

Skills & experience

  • Genuine passion for and knowledge of Season of Mist’ catalogue and current roster.
  • Experience in music publicity, specifically the hard rock / metal sub-genres.
  • Good knowledge of the hard rock / metal media landscape with extensive contacts and relationships with writers, editors, photographers, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize a busy workload
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Excel.
  • Resourceful at working with independent label budget

Artist Marketing Manager (Pandora – Nashville, TN)

Pandora is seeking an Artist Marketing Manager for our expanding Nashville office.
