Inside Music Podcast #15 – Scott Heisel

Hello, everyone! We are back with the 15th episode of INSIDE MUSIC. This episode is one that we have been promising since the middle of December, and we could not be more thrilled to finally have an opportunity to share it with all of you. We promised this year would be a big one for the podcast, and hopefully this conversation makes that clear.

This site exists to promote the future of the entertainment industry, and to do that we need input from people like you and your entertainment-loving friends. If you have any questions about the content in this article, or if you have an artist you would like to see featured on this blog, please contact james@haulix.com. We can also be found on Twitter and Facebook.

On this episode of INSIDE MUSIC, host James Shotwell connects with founder of Youth Conspiracy Records and former managing editor for Alternative Press Magazine Scott Heisel to discuss life in the modern music industry. Scott has been writing for almost a decade longer than James, and he has a number of hilarious stories to share from his experiences in music, including the time he saw the lead singer of Sugar Ray get struck by lightning at Van’s Warped Tour. The two also walk through Heisel’s career from his time in college to present day, as well as a little discussion about what the future may hold.

The music you hear in the intro to ‘Inside Music’ is provided by San Diego, California folk punk group Sledding with Tigers. You can learn more about their work on their official website.
