Haulix Weekly Update #113: “You will not be getting a tattoo for Christmas.”

Hello, everyone. Thank you for taking a few minutes to browse our company blog. Things have been busy around HQ, which has only made us more excited for the weekend. While we wait for it to arrive we thought it best to recap our week, as well as share a song that we think everyone will be talking about soon. Enjoy:

As I mentioned above, each and every weekend we like to take a brief break from our regularly scheduled programming to update and reflect on everything happening at Haulix HQ. We are far more than a music blog, as many of you already know, and posts like this give us an opportunity to share more our efforts with all of you.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS:

As many of you no doubt know by now, we have spent the majority of 2015 working towards the release of a fully updated Haulix platform. We are not introducing one or two changes, but dozens, and they are mostly pulled from requests we have received from clients over the last several years. This is our biggest overhaul in our history, and we are still chipping away at our many remaining to-dos in hopes of having the product ready for release in early 2016. We appreciate your continued patience.

In the meantime, we do have one minor update to share. We have a new button on the Email Activity screen. The ‘Bounces’ tab that will clear out all Bounce alerts with one click. Give it a try today!

BLOG NEWS:

On the blog end of things, this past week was one of our most productive of the year. We recorded two new podcasts, scheduled three more, and laid the groundwork for numerous piece of content set to run between now and the end of January 2016. We recognize the industry slow down is fast-approaching, and we are doing everything in our power to overstock on features before PR firms and labels go silent for the remainder of the year. If you have any content requests, now would be a good time to share them over Twitter.

If you missed any recent updates, here are links to every piece of content posted this week:

Merry Christmas!

Today is the one day of the year when our team unplugs (for the most part) and spends the vast majority of their time with family. It has been a crazy year for us at Haulix, and we wanted to take a few quick moments to thank you for making it all possible.

You might not know this, but the Haulix team consists of only a few individuals, all of whom take on a great deal of responsibility from day-to-day. I’m not saying this to brag or boast, but simply so that you have an idea what it’s like when we try to brainstorm new ways to change the industry. Every move we make requires the entire team, which admittedly stresses us out a bit, but in 2014 we made more advancements than ever before. We launched our mobile platform, as well as profile pages for each of the thousands of writers who are in our database. We also released our automated takedown tool, assignment options for clients, transparent promos, updated customization options, and a whole lot more. We did this all in hopes of not only providing our clients with better service, but also to help the industry at large as well. None of that would have been possibly without you, and for that we are eternally grateful.

We will no doubt talk about this more in the next week, but all signs point to 2015 being an even crazier year than 2014, and we hope you will stick around to see what we have planned. We love what we do, and we are only able to do what we love because you support our efforts. If there was a way we could place a small gift under all of your Christmas trees we would, but until that technology exists a post like this will have to suffice.

Merry Christmas, everyone. Have a wonderful day, and make sure you tell the people you love how much they mean to you. We’ll be back tomorrow with another update, then again over the weekend with a brand new job board.

Best,

Haulix

Haulix Weekly Update #19 – Managing Promo Feedback

Hello and welcome to the final update of the week here on the official blog of Haulix. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Our team spent the last few days scattered across the country with family and friends, but we also dedicated a good amount of time to keeping things moving at HQ. In this post we’ll take a look back at everything we’ve done and give you a few hints at what lies ahead in January 2014.

Starting with the product end of things, the arrival of Santa did not stop our team for rolling out a new update to our promotional distribution system. Press contacts have long been encouraged to leave feedback on the promos they are sent and thanks to our latest update managing those messages is now easier than ever before. When clients log in to view promo feedback they can identify which comments they have already read by selecting the checkbox next to the corresponding messages. Checked messages will then appear crossed out, but will not be removed. You can view an example of this below:

***Promo feedback can only be viewed the respective Haulix client. Press contacts cannot see each other’s feedback.***

Santa may not have had an impact on our dev team, but he did make an impression on the blog. In addition to releasing two new Blogger Spotlights, as well as a timely Advice column, we issued our very first (and very brief) holiday message to readers. You can find links to every post this week below:

Looking ahead to next week there is plenty we hope to accomplish before ringing in the new year. For starters, we have two additional label spotlight we plan to run, as well as the second installment of our new artist spotlight series. Who knows, we may even find time to squeeze some additional advice. Be sure to follow Haulix on Twitter and Facebook to ensure you never miss another update.

That’s all for this week. Have a fun and safe weekend. We’ll see you on Monday.
