Haulix Weekly Update #114: “Facts are meaningless.”

Hello, everyone. Thank you for stopping by our blog. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, we’re happy to have your attention. This is our weekly recap post, which runs every Friday, and in it we talk all things Haulix. Before we get there however, we like to share a song that has been on repeat in our offices this week. With the weekend only a few short hours away, this track will help you celebrate your impending freedom like no other. Enjoy:

As I mentioned above, each and every weekend we like to take a brief break from our regularly scheduled programming to update and reflect on everything happening at Haulix HQ. We are far more than a music blog, as many of you already know, and posts like this give us an opportunity to share more our efforts with all of you.

Development News:

Our development continued to work on the new version of Haulix all week long, and we will tell you first that a great deal of progress has been made. We know we originally planned to have this massive update done in time for the new year, but right now we are looking at a release closer to March. If that feels like forever away, trust us, we feel the same. Every effort is being made to complete this project as fast as possible, but we refuse to cut corners. We pride ourselves on having a product of the highest quality, and we refuse to let that slip in order to be a bit more timely with our release.

Here is a quick teaser of some of the updates you can expect from the new version of Haulix arriving in early 2016…

— Drag n Drop Editor for building custom Press Releases and Promo Invitations

— Choosing recipients will be much easier with a new way to include or exclude groups of contacts

— Save the email and finish later

— Save and re-use drafts like you do now

— The ability to send yourself and coworkers a test email before blasting to your contacts

— The ability to schedule campaigns to automatically send out on a future date and time

Blog News:

The biggest piece of news this week in regards to our blog was the premiere of our Podcast’s 50th episode. We are so thankful for your continued support of Inside Music, and we hope to continue providing great content for you to enjoy for many years to come.

Haulix Weekly Update #113: “You will not be getting a tattoo for Christmas.”

Hello, everyone. Thank you for taking a few minutes to browse our company blog. Things have been busy around HQ, which has only made us more excited for the weekend. While we wait for it to arrive we thought it best to recap our week, as well as share a song that we think everyone will be talking about soon.

As many of you no doubt know by now, we have spent the majority of 2015 working towards the release of a fully updated Haulix platform. We are not introducing one or two changes, but dozens, and they are mostly pulled from requests we have received from clients over the last several years. This is our biggest overhaul in our history, and we are still chipping away at our many remaining to-dos in hopes of having the product ready for release in early 2016. We appreciate your continued patience.

In the meantime, we do have one minor update to share. We have a new button on the Email Activity screen. The ‘Bounces’ tab that will clear out all Bounce alerts with one click. Give it a try today!

BLOG NEWS:

On the blog end of things, this past week was one of our most productive of the year. We recorded two new podcasts, scheduled three more, and laid the groundwork for numerous piece of content set to run between now and the end of January 2016. We recognize the industry slow down is fast-approaching, and we are doing everything in our power to overstock on features before PR firms and labels go silent for the remainder of the year. If you have any content requests, now would be a good time to share them over Twitter.

Development News:

Company founder Matt Brown has requested we pass along a note regarding the upcoming relaunch of our platform. As you know, we have spent the majority of 2015 working on a series of major updates, many of which have been pulled from client requests received over the last several years. We are still a bit too far from launch to share any screens, but please know our team is working diligently to complete our remodeling before the end of the year. There will be dozens of new updates once all is said an done, and as soon as we are given the clearance to do so we will begin sharing those changes with you. Stay tuned!

Development News:

We hate to say it, but there are no new development updates this week. Our team is working each and every single day on our new platform, but right now we don’t have anything ready to share with the general public. We ARE aiming to release the update before the end of 2015, but right now that is all we can say for certain.

Blog News:

The theme around our marketing department this week has been 2016. We may still have over a month left in 2015, but our sights are set on the new year and all the opportunity it contains. We feel near year will be our biggest to date, and in the weeks ahead we will begin to reveal all the future has in store. For now, use the links below to catch up on our latest content offerings…

Haulix Weekly Update #109 – “Aw! Look at that little baby axe!”

Hello, everyone. Thank you for taking a few minutes to browse our company blog. Things have been busy around HQ, which has only made us more excited for the weekend. While we wait for it to arrive we thought it best to recap our week, as well as share a song that we think everyone will be talking about soon. Enjoy:

We are far more than a music blog, as many of you already know, and posts like this give us an opportunity to share more our efforts with all of you.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS:

Since our updated platform is still a month away from launch we thought it might be fun to share two new features coming to Haulix that we feel will benefit clients immensely:

– Press Release Creator (no more need for MadMimi or MailChimp)

– Drag and drop customization on all promos and press releases

– New login functionality for press

We will continue to unveil additional changes/updates in the week(s) ahead. Stay tuned.

BLOG NEWS:

Things on the blog continue to progress with each passing week. This is always the case, I suppose, but in the past week it has especially been true as we have been attempting to plan the remainder of 2015. It’s true we are still nearly three months from welcoming 2016, but January will be here fast and we want to be prepared. Haulix Weekly Update #108: “The doll’s trying to kill me and the toaster’s been laughing at me!”

Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for finding a few minutes in your busy schedule to browse our company blog. Life has been rather hectic around HQ this week, and like many of you we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the weekend. Before we get there however, we want to take a little time to reflect on everything we have accomplished in recent days. We also want to share this killer song with you, which has become something of an anthem for us as of late:

As I mentioned above, each and every weekend we like to take a brief break from our regularly scheduled programming to update and reflect on everything happening at Haulix HQ. We are far more than a music blog, as many of you already know, and posts like this give us an opportunity to share more our efforts with all of you.

Development News:

After a few weeks of teasers regarding the new platform we’re sorry to say this week arrives with no new updates from the Haulix Dev team. Our small team is doing the kind of work that would usually be handled by 10 or more developers, and the progress they’ve made so far is nothing short of stunning. We cannot wait to share our new platform with all of you, but right now we must ask that you be patient just a little while longer. We hope to have all work completed by the end of November, but we cannot guarantee when the updated site will launch just yet. Maybe next week.

Blog News:

This was a weird week for a our blog team. James Shotwell, Marketing Coordinator for the company, actually abandoned his post behind a computer to travel to Pennsylvania for a speaking engagement at Mansfield University. While there, James engaged the student body with tales from the front lines of the war on piracy, as well as stories from his career in the industry. All that said, James still managed to churn out a bundle of great content, which you can find links to below:

Haulix Weekly Update #106: “Are these idiots getting louder or dumber?”

Hey there, everyone. Thank you for taking a few minutes to explore our blog. If you’re reading this post on the day it goes live then you are likely waiting for the weekend to arrive. We’re in the same boat as you, and to be honest we all have some wild plans for the days ahead. Before we get there however, we want to take a few minutes to reflect on all that has happened at HQ in recent days. We also wanted to share thing song with you, which a few of us plan to have on repeat all weekend long:

We are far more than a music blog, as many of you already know, and posts like this give us an opportunity to share more our efforts with all of you.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS:

We actually have some news to reveal this week, though it is admittedly not the type of thing we are excited to share. Due to a few minor setbacks over the last week, we are now expecting our updated platform to be ready for public consumption during the last half of November. This means you might have to wait about a month longer than originally anticipated, but I can assure you it’s worth it.

In other development news, our team actually spent some time together this week. Our staff is spread across the country, but a few times every year we join together to focus on our future plans. That was the agenda on Friday night, and we’re excited to say some really cool stuff was discussed. We can’t talk about it, but please know the gears are always turning at Haulix HQ.

BLOG NEWS:

We have been busy planning the relaunch of Haulix, so most of our time outside of content creation has been dedicated to that. We are thrilled to finally have Inside Music back on a regular basis, and we appreciate those of you who continued to support and/or request the show during its absence.

Development News:

We don’t have any new information to share on the development front. As we work on this post our development is grinding away at what will become the new version of our platform. It’s cleaner, faster, easier to navigate, and complete with an overhauled set of analytics that offers more insight into how users engage with your promos than ever before. We hope to have the final version ready for release in November, but it may take a little bit longer to get everything just right. We really appreciate your patience.

Haulix Weekly Update #104: “You’re Going To Give Yourself Skin Failure”

Hello, everyone. Thank you for stopping by our company blog. This is the last update we will run in the month of September, and overall we think this month has treated us well. Our staff is entirely comprised of people who adore Halloween, so believe me when I say we’re all anxious for October to begin. We also have some major surprises in store for the month ahead, but we’re not quite ready to reveal them just yet. For now, jam this:

As I mentioned above, each and every weekend we like to take a brief break from our regularly scheduled programming to update and reflect on everything happening at Haulix HQ. We are far more than a music blog, as many of you already know, and posts like this give us an opportunity to share more our efforts with all of you.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS:

Unlike last week, there is no major development news to share. That said, staff member James Shotwell did have a chance to see the revamped version of Haulix we plan to release later this year just last night and he wanted to offer a initial on the product for readers:

“I know I am bias, but the new version of Haulix is the best one yet. The new design is streamlined to the max, with beautiful graphics and in-depth analytics. I’m not allowed to discuss a lot of bells and whistles I saw in action, but it looks really good. I think clients and press alike will be thankful this update took place.”

BLOG NEWS:

We are incredibly proud of this week’s content. I know we say that every few weeks, but something about the last five days has been incredibly special. Not only did we deliver a wide array of content, but we managed to cover a number of interesting subjects along the way, including feminism and the current state of mainstream rock and roll.
